Huck Finn, Honors

5.  Every time Huck goes on land he encounters hypocrisy, greed, or murder.  Apply this concept to two other instances.

  1. This situation reminded me of how some parents will shelter their children from experiences to "protect" them. The raft shelters Huck from the outside world of corruption and greed. When he goes to land it almost shocks him to see how bad people can be.
    Another example is even us as a community here in Knox. We don't have to experience crime or violence anywhere near as much as families in the big cities would.
